Airbnb Launches THE INCREDIBLES-Inspired Experience

Airbnb is helping film fans experience their favorite movies in real life.
Earlier this year, the rental service announced its “Icons” initiative, which offers “users unique overnight locations and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.”
This included a replica of the UP house, the emotional control center from INSIDE OUT and the X-Men school from X-MAN ’97.
Their latest movie-inspired experience? Bringing the home of Edna Mode from THE INCREDIBLES alive for guests.
Per Airbnb, “Tucked away behind closed gates in Los Angeles, California, guests will be invited to step into Edna’s world of fashion and flair and experience what it takes to be bold, dramatic, and heroic by designing a one-of-a-kind Supersuit, 20 years after her work first came to life in THE INCREDIBLES. Get a 1:1 consultation with the help from Edna’s team of expert designers, discover your unique superpower, and select intricate details and fabric swatches to create your personalized suit, all with the Edna Mode stamp of approval – no capes, of course!”
Edna Mode herself wrote:
I could never truly retire from Super work, and I’m always looking for the next challenge. So come explore my years of hard work in the world of fashion and glamor, and design a Supersuit of your very own, fit for any adventure. It will be bold! Dramatic! Heroic! But remember—NO CAPES!
My home is a work of art—chic, minimalist design elegantly paired with state-of-the-art technology. It’s truly a modern masterpiece. Generations of Supers have walked these halls, and now you too can experience the creativity and craftsmanship of a customized Supersuit to take on the world.
“Unlike Airbnb’s other ‘Icons,’ this one is not offered as an overnight stay. Instead, it is an experience — one where fans of Pixar’s THE INCREDIBLES get to transport themselves into the movie during the three-hour tour,” PEOPLE reported.
Unfortunately, booking for the exclusive three-hour tour closed in late May. However, guests can request an option to book.
In 2023, Airbnb launched a “replica of Shrek’s Swamp in Scotland.”

“The living quarters are located in the hills of the Scottish Highlands. Airbnb said in its press release that ‘this spectacularly secluded swamp-scape’ includes ‘earwax candlelight,’ a place to gather with friends to ‘swap stories around the fire,’ fresh waffles in the morning and ‘the ultimate privacy of Shrek’s trusted outhouse,’” TODAY wrote.
Although the swamp house does not include WiFi, a washer and dryer, a kitchen, a TV, shampoo, a hair dryer or air conditioning, it can accommodate up to three guests. It includes towels, bedding, soap, toilet paper, and heat.
The outhouse is located about 66 yards from the main house and is a “standalone facility.”
