AMC Adds Mystery to Movie-Going Experience with Screen Unseen
By Movieguide® Contributor
AMC Theatres has launched a new opportunity for moviegoers looking for a little adventure.
Screen Unseen allows audiences to watch never-before-seen movies. The catch? Viewers won’t know what the movie is until showtime.
“You’re invited to a secret early showing,” the theater chain announced on Instagram.
Theatergoers speculated over what movie would be shown.
“Are the stars hinting at THE MARVELS,” one person guessed.
Another hinted that it could be NEXT GOAL WINS.
“With AMC Screen Unseen, tickets are just $5+tax. We will share the movie’s MPA rating ahead of time, but the feature presentation will remain a mystery until showtime. After the show, share your thoughts with #AMCScreenUnseen on X (Formerly Twitter) for a chance to win a film fanatic prize pack,” AMC shared.
The first Screen Unseen event is set for November 6, and the only information available at the moment is that the movie will be PG-13.
The theater chain also announced Scream Unseen, which will feature a surprise scary movie.
“Be first to see a scare if you dare. If you’re a horror fan, keep your eyes peeled for AMC Scream Unseen announcements,” AMC stated.
ABC reported, “AMC Theatres’ new program bears a striking resemblance to Regal’s Monday Mystery Movie program, which also allows moviegoers to attend a screening of a surprise film for just $5.”
