AMERICAN IDOL hopeful Lola Bonfiglio wants to follow the footsteps of her famous family as she enters this season of the competition show.

The most recent episode saw Bonfiglio walk into the competition room with her dad holding a guitar.

“I’m guessing you come from a musical family,” judge Carrie Underwood said.

Seconds later, Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson walked into the room.

“Wilson Phillips?! This is so cool,” Underwood exclaimed. “I can’t believe this, what’s the relation here?” she asked.

The family explained that Wendy is Lola’s aunt, and Carnie is her mother.

Together the family played Wilson Phillips’ 1992 hit “Hold On.” After praising the family for a beautiful performance, Underwood said, “I would love to hear Lola by herself. Just to know a little more about you.”

Bonfiglio sang “Rainbow” by Kacey Musgraves.

Judge Lionel Richie shared, “When you sing the lead, hold the story out longer. It could have been the nerves, but you were getting to the end and just cutting it off.”

“The tone and pureness, and the quality of your voice, that’s the perfect song for you,” Luke Bryan added. “But this competition is going to require you to belt too, and let loose a little bit, filling up the room a little more.”

“If I’m on this show I’m going to push myself, that’s why I want to be on AMERICAN IDOL. I want to grow,” Bonfiglio said.

She got three yeses and a ticket to Hollywood.

Bonfiglio isn’t the first contestant with famous family to compete this season.

Several weeks ago, Baylee Littrell, son of Backstreet Boys member Brian Littrell, entered the competition and earned a golden ticket to Hollywood.

“Um, you’re really good. Like, you’re really good,” Underwood told him after his audition. “I think you could go very, very far in this competition.”

Brian even sang with his son during Baylee’s audition. “I’m going to cry. I’m crying,” Brian said of his son’s golden ticket.
