Grammy-nominated musical artist Anne Wilson has announced her upcoming album REBEL, which will release on April 19.

The album combines Christian music with her country roots.

“I’m so excited to share my upcoming album REBEL with you on April 19. Y’all can pre-order, save and add now!! My new song ‘God & Country’ is available now too,” she shared on Instagram.

Fans expressed their excitement.

“Seriously so happy for you! You’ve grown so much, well deserved, I can’t wait to hear this next record… you’re awesome! Such an inspiration,” one user commented.

“AHHHHH!!! I’m so proud! Go Anne! Whoop whoop!” another said.

Country Now reported, “Wilson teamed up with some of Nashville’s most esteemed songwriters to co-write each of the 16 tracks across the genre-bending project produced by Jeff Pardo and Jonathan Smith.”

The process of creating the new album took Wilson 15 months.

“I can’t wait for everyone to hear these brand-new songs on April 19,” shared Wilson. “I’ve been working so hard over the past 15 months to write these songs, record them and get them into the world! I was raised on two things: the love of God and the love of all things Country. That’s what fuels the music I make and that’s what you’ll hear more of on REBEL. I’m just so excited we are this close to releasing the record!”

She’s already released “God & Country,” co-written with Jeff Pardo, Matthew West and Trannie Anderson.  The song revisits her country upbringing in Kentucky and her faith. “I’ve got a good life down here, but a better one waiting up above me,” she says in the song.

Three other songs on the album—“REBEL,” “Strong” and “Rain in the Rearview”—are also currently available on Spotify.

Movieguide® reported:

Anne Wilson just debuted the music video for her latest single, “Rain In The Rearview.”

The video shows three different versions of the singer — one driving her car in the pouring rain, one standing in the storm and one driving towards the unknown.

“ The three versions of me and the perspectives of all three were so accurate to how my life has been,” Wilson said of the video’s imagery. “We all go through different seasons and sometimes need the reminder that we can leave our past behind us.”

Wilson posted about the video on Instagram, writing, “This video was so much fun to shoot…I love getting to tell the story of this song visually and artistically in this way. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this song and video to life. I am so grateful and hope y’all LOVE it!!!”
