Anne Wilson infuses country with her Christian roots in her newest project, “Rebel (New Beginnings),” landing her spots on both Christian and Country radio.
“I am beyond excited to send this new music out into the world,” Wilson said. “These three songs felt like the perfect way to begin the next chapter of my musical journey. And I’ve got a lot more songs I’ve been writing, so this truly feels like the beginning of something special.”
As Wilson dives into the country genre, she is excited to explore a “new season of sounds.”
“Rebel” features three tracks: “title track ‘REBEL,’ Christian radio single ‘Strong’ and Country radio single ‘Rain In The Rearview.’”
“Getting to release a song to both Country and Christian radio is beyond a dream come true for me,” she added. “These songs mean so much to me and truly describe the season of life I’ve been in this past year.”
“I hope when people hear these three songs that they’ll feel what I feel. Heart, hope, Jesus, strength, faith and the courage to move forward even if the path ahead is uncharted. Here’s to all that’s next!” Wilson said.
As she takes the next step as “a trailblazer in the cross-genre space,” the singer explores new topics. In the three songs featured in “Rebel,” she highlights empowerment and leaving the past behind.
The release of her new songs coincided with the start of Wilson’s first headlining tour. The “My Jesus” tour celebrates Wilson’s debut album—“My Jesus”—which launched her to fame last year. It earned her New Artist of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year at the 2022 Dove Awards.
“My Jesus” recently went platinum as Wilson continues to grow in the Christian music sphere.
As Wilson explores her new country sound, it will be exciting to see how she impacts and draws in an even wider audience.
