Another Ohio State Football Player Uses Platform to Share Faith

Ohio State football player Luke Montgomery is among several Buckeyes players who have committed their lives to Jesus, and he isn’t afraid to tell others about his faith, even during press conferences.
“I never didn’t trust the Lord’s will and His path for me, if that makes any sense,” he told the media. “When I got here, I was blessed with the opportunity to have Scripture-based Bible studies with…guys that are moving on to the next part of their journey.”
As the new season quickly approaches, Montgomery said he’s had to focus on trusting in God’s plan over his own.
“It’s the Lord’s way; it’s not mine,” he explained. “Things go His way, and you’ve just got to trust in His plan. I pray about that a lot — every day before I run out past the red line and leave everything behind.”
Montgomery is very vocal about his faith across his social media accounts.
He calls himself a “Follower of Christ” in his Instagram bio and even quoted Numbers 6:24-26 in an Instagram post from last season. It reads:
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.
The best thing for Montgomery is that he isn’t the only one on his team who is dedicated to sharing the Gospel.

Ohio State University tight end Gee Scott Jr. is leading his teammates to Jesus.
…“I just want to make this aware so everyone in Columbus, the community knows in Columbus, what’s going on,” Scott said. “Something’s going on on this football team. Christ is working on this football team.”
Afterward the incredible night, Scott took to Instagram to share even more. He wrote, “Amazing doesn’t do justice to describe the powerful outpouring of the Lords spirit on all of the Sons and Daughters who joined us this weekend. I am truly encouraged by the faith of my brothers in Christ, who decided publicly, to declare Jesus as their Lord and savior – and be baptized. The Lord Jesus is moving on the hearts of those who call on Him wholeheartedly.”
