Anthony Michael Hall And Wife Lucia Welcome First Child: ‘Thank You Heavenly Father!’

Anthony Michael Hall is a dad!
The actor and wife Lucia Hall welcomed their first child, a son named Michael Anthony Hall II, on June 1.
“It’s great. We’re excited. That first month of parenting is pretty wild,” Hall told People of his first month of fatherhood. “Everything that everybody tells you is pretty true: you lose sleep and it’s the craziest time, but it’s the best time. So we’re really enjoying it.”
The actor spoke glowingly of his wife, saying, “She was really amazing with it. She’s very healthy and has great genes, so it was all smooth and other than being a little sleep deprived now, really great.”
“She does great research and we read tons of books and are also just learning on the job, getting thrown into it. We just love it, it’s been amazing to really fully be in parent mode,” he continued.
Hall also talked about becoming a dad at this point in his life.
“I couldn’t be happier because I always knew, even when I was a young man, that I wanted to get started later. Here I am at 55, and I’m fully committed,” the actor explained. “I’m excited. My wife and I are really into parenting and diving in.”
Lucia posted a photo of the family on Instagram, writing, “My heart exploded with the most incredible feelings of love, happiness and gratitude. The last month and half was the busiest and most joyful time of our lives. Michael Anthony Hall II you are mommy and daddy’s whole world and we love you unconditionally.”
The couple announced the pregnancy earlier this year on Instagram.
“My wife Lucia and I are so blessed, happy and proud to announce on this Valentine’s Day, that we are expecting our first child this summer,” Hall wrote. “Thank You Heavenly Father!”
