Arnold Schwarzenegger: Bruce Willis Will ‘Always Be Remembered As a Great Star’

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently praised his fellow action star Bruce Willis amid the latter’s ongoing struggle with aphasia and dementia.

Willis’ family announced in 2022 that he would be stepping away from acting after being diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that can affect a person’s ability to understand spoken and written language.

This February, Willis’ family shared that his condition had developed into frontotemporal dementia.

Schwarzenegger spoke about Willis while reflecting on his own career in an interview with CinemaBlend.

“I think that he’s fantastic. He was, always for years and years, a huge, huge star. And I think that he will always be remembered as a great, great star. And a kind man,” the actor said

Schwarzenegger continued, “I understand that under his circumstances, health-wise, that he had to retire. But in general, you know, we never really retire. Action heroes, they reload.”

Schwarzenegger isn’t the only action star that is thinking of Willis. Movieguide® previously reported:

Liam Neeson has fellow actor Bruce Willis on his mind as he promotes his new movie MEMORY.

In it, Neeson stars as a deadly assassin who grapples with Alzheimer’s. Neeson recently told the New York Post that he thinks about the DIE HARD star, who recently revealed he had been diagnosed with aphasia.

“My heart goes out to him,” Neeson said. “I think of him every day. It’s particularly poignant, isn’t it? I wish him all the best.”
