Arnold Schwarzenegger is thankful for his daughter Katherine’s marriage to actor Chris Pratt.
In an interview on “The New Heights” podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce, THE TERMINATOR star shared his thoughts on his son-in-law.
“He’s a fun guy to talk to. I’m really happy that my daughter has found him,” he said. “And that he has found her…they found each other. Because they fit really well together, and they just look wonderful together. They’re so in love with each other.”
The former California governor also spoke about how he enjoys time with his grandchildren, Lyla, 3, and Eloise, 1.
“I love the grandkids. When Katherine comes over with the kids, and they play with the animals for hours, they just love it. I say, ‘Kids, do you want to help me feed the animals?’ And I say, ‘Let’s go and feed Nelly,’ which is my pig. So now they’re feeding Nelly and teaching him how to put [food] in his mouth and all of those kinds of things,” he shared. “And then they go over to the stall with me, and they bring out the miniature donkey, Lulu, and Whiskey, the miniature pony, and they feed them.”
Pratt is grateful for his father-in-law as well. On Schwarzenegger’s birthday a few years ago, Pratt posted, “Happy birthday to the man, the myth, and the legend. Love you.”
Pratt and Katherine met at church in 2018. Movieguide® previously reported that the pair found each other while Pratt was going through a difficult time:
Pratt had been coming out of an eight-year marriage with actress Anna Farris ending with a divorce in 2017. They share custody of their 10-year-old son Jack.
“[That] was a moment in my life that I was really struggling and felt really broken,” Pratt said.
It was during that brokenness that he met Katherine.
“For me, my own journey of finding a higher power and leaning on that feeling like, ‘Please save me,’ and then feeling saved… and then shortly, later meeting, you know, the woman of my dreams and being like, ‘this is, wow, this feels great,’” he said.
“It’s all about timing. There’s a perfect plan out there for you, and I think you just gotta have to have faith,” he later added.
