THE BACHELOR’s Ben Higgins and wife Jessica Clarke are expecting their first child!
“The next chapter of our love story!” the couple announced on Instagram. “Baby girl coming in February.”
They posted a video of their journey as a couple, from the moment Higgins proposed in 2020 to seeing the first ultrasound of their baby girl.
“Thank you all for being as excited for us as we feel!!” Clarke wrote in an Instagram Story. “We can’t wait to catch you up.”
Higgins and Clarke met in 2018 when he came across a photo of her on Instagram and DMed her. The pair kept things private but went Instagram-official the following year. Higgins proposed in 2020, and the couple tied the knot the next year.
Movieguide® previously reported on the couple’s marriage:
A fan-favorite of the popular ABC show THE BACHELOR, Ben Higgins is now married to Jessica Clarke.
Higgins, who competed on the 20th season of the franchise, said he prayed about his future wife and celebrated his recent marriage to Clarke by sharing scripture.
“Tomorrow the guests begin to flood into Nashville for the wedding,” Higgins shared before the ceremony. “My heart is at peace and my amazement continues that I get to marry @jessclarke_. She brings me to praise and thankfulness everyday (for the last 3 years). This is something I have dreamed of, my family has prayed for, and now we will celebrate!”
The couple have previously talked about their desire for a family. Earlier this year, Higgins was asked what was next for him and Clarke.
“Starting a family. God willing, two kids,” he told Life & style. “That would be awesome!”
Speaking about their relationship, Clarke told PEOPLE, “Ben doesn’t just make me want to be a better person, but he actually makes me a better person. He assures me in all of my dreams and all of my goals. I never thought I’d have a partner that accepted every part of me.”
“Jessica is so incredibly empathetic and caring,” Higgins shared. “She encourages me and she supports me and I know she cares about who I am and where I’m going. I’m so excited that I get to love her — and be loved by her — every single day. And I am so thankful that I found her.”
