THE COVENANT, a new Bible-based movie, is now available to stream on Apple TV.
Drawing inspiration from the Torah, THE COVENANT is “a compelling narrative of Old Testament Bible stories…brought to you by Lumo Project Films.”
Per Christian Newswire, the movie “is a visual masterpiece that presents stories from the Torah through the perspective of Ezra. It captures the stories of Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, and more, tailored for a global audience.”
“THE COVENANT will be an incredible blessing to the global community and will bridge the gap for religious groups to receive the life-giving truth of Jesus Christ,” Lumo Project wrote. “Unlike the Gospel Films, THE COVENANT is one 90-minute film that highlights the first five books of the Bible. The stories are told through the eyes of Ezra and bring to film the stories of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Rebekah, Joseph, Moses, Miriam, Aaron, and more. Most importantly, the stories have remained scriptural based and with stunningly high-quality visuals.”
The filmmakers worked hard to ensure the movie was biblically sound and accurate.
“It maintains its unwavering commitment to word-for-word Scripture narration. It leverages the New International Version (NIV) text to offer an accurate and contextual portrayal of the Old Testament, encouraging deeper Scripture engagement,” Christian Newswire added.
Lumo plans to translate THE COVENANT into 70 different languages by the end of this year.
“It was indeed a challenge to complete this project, with filming taking place in three different countries amidst COVID-related shutdowns and restrictions,” said producer Hannah Leader. “However, we are thrilled to announce the film’s completion! Our hope is that this film will serve as a valuable tool, connecting people worldwide with God’s promises, from Creation to the present day.”
“It’s exciting to have a visual Scripture narrative of the Torah from the Old Testament. This will be an invaluable resource for all who encounter it. Furthermore, the prospect of making it available in hundreds of languages is truly remarkable, offering a comprehensive view of the Kingdom of God,” added Mart Green of Hobby Lobby.
