Blake Shelton was commemorated with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with His wife, Gwen and former stars of THE VOICE, Carson Daly and Adam Levine.
Shelton told Fox News Digital following the ceremony, “Well, nothing’s official to me unless Gwen is a part of it. Wouldn’t have felt right, in fact, I probably would have made sure and searched around and found a day, if she couldn’t have been here today, to be sure we did it on a day where she could at least be here and be with me, because things just aren’t fun unless she’s a part of it.”
Shelton and Stefani have always had a special connection and Shelton made sure to acknowledge her during his acceptance speech.
“I kind of stopped checking things off my list of great accomplishments in my life when I married Gwen,” Shelton stated.
Stefani also made an appearance on the microphone showing her love and admiration for Shelton.
“Blake, you are a rare human being, and for all the success you have had in your life, he’s the same guy today as he was back then. A country guy with a love for country music,” Stefani stated.
She continued, “The reason Blake Shelton is here today on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is because you are part of the country dream, the Hollywood dream, and you are part of the American dream. And everybody knows you are my dream come true.”
Movieguide® previously reported on Shelton and Stefani’s marriage:
The couple wed at a chapel Shelton had built on the property, complete with a cross above the entryway.
“Their shared faith is very important,” a source told PEOPLE magazine. “Having the wedding at home was a way for their families — and Gwen — to be as comfortable as possible. Blake wanted the day to be perfect for Gwen. His love for her is so deep.”
The source added, “They’re a very family-oriented couple, and that’s exactly what the wedding was about. Family was at the center of everything.”
The couple chose THE VOICE host Carson Daly to officiate their wedding.
“Gwen and I both share a deep sense of faith. We talk a lot about faith, the two of us, and to work with them and their family to get to be a part of that day with my family was really an honor,” Daly said. “It was fun too. I don’t want people to think, ‘Oh, a big celebrity wedding.’ We had a blast all weekend long.”
