Five-time Grammy Award winner Brandon Lake just announced that his new album, King of Hearts, will release on June 13.
“I’m not sure if I knew who this record was for when I started writing it, but as the songs came the more I realized it was not for the seemingly put together,” Lake wrote on Instagram along with what might be the album cover, adding, “but rather those who are honest about their brokenness, but also have a desire to connect with their creator and experience Him in everyday life.
“This creator is King of the universe, King of Nations, King of creation, but none more important than King of hearts,” he concluded.
The album features 16 new tracks, per The Christian Beat:
1. Plans
2. King Of Hearts
3. Hard Fought Hallelujah
4. Daddy’s DNA
5. I Know A Name
6. As For Me & My Home
7. The Great I Am Can
8. Remember The Miracles
9. Right In The Middle
10. But God
11. Watch This!
12. Spare Change
13. Ghost Stories
14. SEVENS
15. That’s Who I Praise
16. The Half Has Not Been Told
Lake announced the album at a record reveal party at The Riviera Theater in Charleston, South Carolina.
While at the party, Lake talked about a King of Heart tattoo he has on his finger. The singer got the tattoo two years ago to remind him that “it’s always about the people. It’s not about the product. It’s not even about the song, it’s about people. Be a king of people’s hearts.”

“That’s obviously a name we can call Jesus because he’s King of the universe, King of creation. But no more important than King of our hearts,” Lake added.
King of Hearts is currently available to pre-save/pre-add.
In addition to his new album, Lake will also be on AMERICAN IDOL for a worship night on Easter Sunday.
Per Relevant Magazine, the “Songs of Faith” episode will be three hours long and all 20 contestants will sing a worship/gospel song.
All three judges — Carrie Underwood, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan — will also perform worship songs.
CeCe Winans, Jelly Roll, Roman Collins and The Brown Four will join Lake as performers.
This is a major opportunity for people to hear the Gospel for the very first time through these songs and artists. Pray that many people receive Jesus through this episode.
