Brandon Potter Grateful for THE CHOSEN Set Experience

THE CHOSEN actor Brandon Potter is thankful for the way the show approached production in a different way.

“A show this big with this many moving parts can sometimes feel anonymous. You feel like a mercenary, just kind of a gun for hire. You show up and do your job and leave,” Potter told The Christian Post. “And that’s not the way this show is.”

“There’s like a big WhatsApp thread with all the actors and we talk and share news and we follow each other on Instagram – that cast and crew too. Everybody hangs out and knows each other,” he continued.

“Working on this show has changed my life,” he added.

Potter, who plays the Roman guard Qunitus, also revealed that he is excited about the changes that the upcoming season brings to his character.

“A lot happens in season four. It comes to you hard and fast. Buckle up, get ready because stuff goes down,” he said. “So far in the show, Quintus has operated sort of unimpeded, he’s able to call the shots and do what he wants to do, and there’s not really any consequences. And in this season, there are consequences for his actions.”

“There are real consequences for his actions,” he emphasized. “And I think that will force a change in him. I don’t know what kind, I don’t know it that’s for good or worse. I can’t speak to that. I don’t even know. But something will have to give.”

Season four of THE CHOSEN will release in January 2024.

Movieguide® previously reported on season four of THE CHOSEN:

“We’re back,” the series official Instagram posted with a picture of a clapperboard used on set.

Season 4 is the second season to be filmed on the show’s new 900-acre home. The property includes a 30,000-square-foot soundstage and a replica first-century village, allowing the cast to feel like they are really living in biblical times.

“It feels like you’re really in Capernaum, 2,000 years ago,” Noah James, who portrays Andrew, said. “It’s unbelievable… You feel like you can really seep yourself in the time and feel the authenticity.”
