Brittany Lutz Shares 3 Motherhood Lessons God Has Taught Her

Brittany Lutz is sharing the lessons God has taught her about motherhood.
“He’s shown me quiet time isn’t always quiet and that’s ok,” Lutz captioned a photo of herself and daughter Ashtyn. “Sometimes I wake up before them and get it in early, but sometimes I need the rest in order to serve my family in the way God is calling me to. He’s not mad at me. There’s space and grace for the capacity I have each day and He always meets me where I end, takes over, and gives me the strength needed to complete the day.”
She continued, “He’s shown me how important it is for them to see me in the Word. Hearing me pray over them, their dad, the world, etc. Watching me live out my values, beliefs and identity in real time in front of them is necessary rather keeping it exclusively in a prayer closet away from their sight.”
The last lesson?
“He’s shown me one of the great character traits of Jesus was that He was interruptible,” Lutz concluded. “He never berated or chastised someone for needing Him no matter where He was or what He was doing. Our Father God longs for us to come to Him. He doesn’t get annoyed or tell us to come back when He’s ‘done’ with what He’s doing. Same goes for my kids. It’s an act of worship to serve them and I want them to know they can ALWAYS interrupt me.”
Lutz spoke about the role faith has played in her life in another recent Instagram post, telling followers about “the importance to not just ‘plead’ with God for what you want but to have the confidence when He’s promised you something to praise Him for it right where you’re at, even if it hasn’t happened yet.”
“Sometimes we forget simple things like praising God for what He’s going to do before He’s done it. It is like medicine to our souls to praise Him in faith for what’s to come,” she continued. “This is how our faith grows. He hasn’t forgotten you. He doesn’t promise to not come through.”
Lutz also reflected on her motherhood journey in a recent post, detailing the struggles she has faced to become a mom.
“Today- I’m living in answered prayers and am so happy the majority of every single day I could burst,” she wrote. “Even though we don’t always know how He’ll fulfill the desires of our hearts, don’t let what life throws at you stop you from believing that those dreams and desires will become realities. God is good. He is faithful. And He’s always on time.”

These photos aren’t just sweet family memories. They are visible, tangible proof of God’s goodness and faithfulness.
