Great American Family star Candace Cameron Bure and her husband, Valeri, recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of when they met each other for the first time.

Bure shared a photo of her and her husband on Instagram and wrote, “August 18, 2024 marks the 30 year anniversary of the day Val and I met at a charity hockey game ?. I wish I had a picture of that day, but here’s one 30 years later to mark the occasion. I love growing old with you, my love.”

Many of Bure’s fans expressed their excitement for the couple.

“Oh my gosh you two are so adorable and I honestly love how color coordinated you two are!! I’d so watch a tv show about this couple and this song is great for the opener of the tv show too,” one person wrote.

Another said, “Aww ? how cute ❤️❤️!! You both make a very beautiful couple congratulations.”

Bure’s FULL HOUSE family was instrumental in her connecting with Val. Movieguide® reported:

In a Q&A Bure hosted on Instagram, she shared a little about how she and Valeri connected, revealing that they met “at a charity hockey game in L.A.”

She shared a photo of her and Valeri on their second date.

“This picture was our 2nd date — six months after our first, taken in Fredericton, New Brunswick,” she wroteon her Instagram Story. “We talked on the phone in between that time because we lived in different states.”

The couple were introduced by Bure’s FULL HOUSE co-star David Coulier when he invited the cast to the hockey game.

“I went with Lori Loughlin and we sat there and were looking at these two really cute boys — two cute men, I guess — on the ice, and I was like, ‘I want to meet that one, the blonde one,’ which was Val. And that was it,” she said.

Now, 28 years of marriage and three children later, Bure often shares advice she’d give for a long-lasting relationship.

“What’s the secret? Lord knows I will never write a book about it because we are still learning every year, every day. Grace. Grace. Grace. Communication (which is so important but difficult when one partner isn’t willing.) Sex. Laughter. Patience. Lots of patience. Love (a verb. which must be put into action, it’s not just a feeling.),” she posted on their 25th anniversary in 2021.

“No marriage is picture perfect. Not one. And certainly not ours,” she added. “But through thick and thin, ups and downs, God has blessed us tremendously with guidance and perseverance. I believe God is the secret sauce. I have more love for this man today than the day we married each other. And I know he does for me. Praise the Lord.”

Bure’s most recent GAF project, AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES:  A CASE FOR THE WINEMAKER, just started streaming on Great American Pure Flix.

“I absolutely love the relationships in this story. The audience is going to fall in love with all of these new characters. You’ll want to continue and stay on this journey with us,” Bure said.

Part of Movieguide®’s review reads:

AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES:  A CASE FOR THE WINEMAKER stars Candace Cameron Bure (“Bur-ay”) in the title role. Ainsley is a former criminologist who returns to the small town of Sweet River, Texas for a big career change. Ainsley turned in her badge and credentials to open her own business in Sweet River, a place where artists can sell their work. Ainsley can’t deny her passion for solving crimes, however, when she discovers a murdered body in her best friend’s wine cellar. Her friend’s husband is a prime suspect, but other suspects and questions come to Ainsley’s attention. Then, Ainsley finds a note on her door warning, “Stay out of this, or you’re next.”

AINSLEY MCGREGOR MYSTERIES:  A CASE FOR THE WINEMAKER is a well-produced, enjoyable movie with high-quality performances. The movie has a strong moral worldview with Christian values. For example, it promotes healthy relationships, truth and justice. A CASE FOR THE WINEMAKER doesn’t have any crude or obscene content. However, it does feature a murder mystery, although there’s minimal blood and violence. MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for younger children.
