Candace Cameron Bure: My Faith Gives Me So Much Peace and Comfort
By Movieguide® Staff
Hallmark star and FULL HOUSE alum Candace Cameron Bure is not afraid to share her faith, even on national live television.
In an interview with ABC, Bure opened about how the foundation of her life is faith.
“I feel so blessed that I’ve been able to share my faith, it’s been such a huge part of my career,” Bure said. “During the pandemic, I can’t imagine not having faith. The Bible is the source of truth for me that I go to, especially when I am anxious and when I am worrying, and I can go to the scriptures and read Matthew 6, where it says: ‘Look at the birds in the air, they do not sow or reap or store away in barns and yet your heavenly Father feeds them, aren’t you more valuable than they are?’
“Scriptures will say what does worrying do? It won’t add a single hour to your life,” she added. “So I can rest assured and have peace and know that the creator of the universe is looking out for me.”
Bure is vocal about her beliefs over her social media platforms and said she loves to share the message of hope and peace with her fans and followers.
“In troubling times, it gives me so much comfort and peace and I love being able to share that with people,” she said.
Bure said that despite her career in Hollywood, she has always focused on her faith, which led her to pursue “family-friendly” content.
“It has really given me the path that I have chosen and have been very intentional to choose all family-friendly projects and produce family-friendly entertainment,” she explained. “I think my faith is a big reason I co-hosted the view for two years as well.”
“My faith is not something that stays at home when I go out to work, it follows me everywhere I go,” she added.
Bure said that even when life doesn’t make sense, she trusts in God’s greater plan for her life.
“Sometimes we can feel like some of these questions or circumstances that we’re in are too big for God,” she said. “Yet, they’re not, and we don’t have to be afraid to say, ‘God why? Why is this happening? Why are you allowing this and why are you doing that?’ Sometimes we don’t have the answers, but my faith has never wavered to know that God is bigger than me and has a bigger purpose and knowledge than I have.”
