Candace Cameron Bure is opening up Season 10 of her podcast with special guests and a special topic — the supernatural.
“Season 10 of my podcast is almost here,” Bure said in a trailer video for Season 10. “My expert guest this season is Pastor Jonathan ‘J.P.’ Pokluda, and we are talking about some stuff that people think is pretty scary.”
“Almost everybody has a ghost story or wonders what’s really going on with angels and demons. Pastor JP is here to tell us real stories about real people and help you understand with confidence why we don’t have to live in fear. And I’ve also got an extra special guest this season: my son, Lev Bure,” she added.
Lev explained that conversations like this, especially among many Christian groups, are often “kept in the dark,” and he’s glad to be able to talk about them out in the open.
“…Understand you have a villain,” Pastor J.P. said. “There is a supernatural presence that hates you. That’s the bad news, is that there’s lots of demons here on earth. The good news is they’re outnumbered 2 to 1 by God’s army. God is infinitely stronger than Satan.”
Candace said, “If you doubt, talk to God about it. God’s not going to be scared of your doubt. It doesn’t make him nervous. He’s not going to leave you or not love you.”
Pokluda added the “greatest defense” you can have is being near to God, the creator of all.
In the few years that Bure has had her podcast, she’s covered a lot of varied topics with all sorts of people, from faith leaders and authors to celebrities and singers.
She’s hosted Katy Nichole, Bianca Juarez Olthoff, Danny Gokey, Danica McKellar, Jen Lilley and other Great American Family stars.
Season 10’s topic is practically a 180° turn from Season 9, “Girls Under Pressure,” in which Bure featured episodes with her daughter Natasha Bure and influencer Allie Schnacky. They discussed what it means to be young women of faith, modesty, social media, dating, forgiveness and more.
In the modesty episode, Natasha confessed that she used to dress in a way that flaunted her body. It took a long time for her to learn that the way she dressed on the outside didn’t reflect what she had on the inside — a relationship with Jesus.
“I feel like people were just so confused,” said Natasha, referring to comments she received about her appearance. “The outfits that I was wearing at the time were so opposite” of her values, she explained. The episode emphasized hope that people, and especially believers, will understand that their behavior and choices should reflect what’s in their heart.
As Candace dives into the supernatural on Season 10, light will be shone on the spiritual realities many people wonder about, uncovering fearless conversations along the way.
