Candace Cameron Bure Says She Was ‘Totally A Stage Mom’ While Daughter Was On Set

Candace Cameron Bure’s latest movie is a family affair. Bure acted alongside her daughter Natasha in AURORA TEAGARDEN MYSTERIES: HAUNTED BY MURDER.
In the Hallmark movie, Natasha plays the role of a younger version of Bure’s onscreen character.
“It was so much fun for her to play my character as a high school student,” Bure said, sharing that she was “totally a stage mom” while on set.
“I was having the best time because I had my camera out, I was videotaping everything,” she laughed. “I’m also the producer of the movie, so I can do whatever I want. And I was just ‘stage-momming’ it up in the best of ways. I loved it.”
This movie marks one of Bure’s last collaborations with Hallmark. She recently signed a deal with GAC Family, and she calls the move “an exciting one.”
“I’m always looking for opportunities to grow professionally and creatively,” the actress explained. “Not only will I continue to act and produce in all of my movies, but I’m now curating content and producing content for both channels as a whole.”
Movieguide® previously reported on Bure’s move to GAC Family:

I am truly honored that she has chosen to be a part of and help curate her special brand of family entertainment here at Great American Channels.”
Bure added: “I’m very excited to develop heartwarming family and faith-filled programming and make the kind of stories my family and I love to watch,” Bure said. “I am constantly looking for ways that I can inspire people to live life with purpose. GAC fits my brand perfectly; we share a vision of creating compelling wholesome content for an audience who wants to watch programming for and with the whole family. Great, quality entertainment with a positive message is what my partnership with GAC is all about!”
