Candace Cameron Bure Shows Off Singing Skills On WE ARE FAMILY

Candace Cameron Bure just revealed her secret singing talent in a recent episode of WE ARE FAMILY.
“Spoiler Alert ?‼️ TA-DA ✨? I was one of the ‘surprise celebrities’ last night on WE ARE FAMILY on @foxtv,” the actress captioned a series of photos from the experience. “I sang (or tried to keep up with) my super talented cousin @kenzie_mae! She was phenomenal and this was such a fun experience.”
WE ARE FAMILY sees three contestants perform songs, both solo and duets. The duets are with their famous family member, who is hidden from view, and audience members try to guess who it is.
Celebrities like Joel McHale, Jojo Siwa, Michelle Williams and Cam Newton have all taken part in the reality show.
“I was very nervous,” Bure told TV Insider of the experience. “I was very hesitant to even say yes to the show because I’m not comfortable singing in front of people. That’s not a thing I do. However, I thought the show was so much fun in terms of the concept and the idea of getting to put the spotlight on one of my family members who has this amazing talent. I thought of Kenzie immediately. I then thought, ‘You know? Maybe this will be a brave moment for me, and I can give Kenzie this amazing opportunity, too.’ That is what it came down to.”
The actress continued, “Because I was so nervous I actually asked a vocal coach to help me out, so I would feel a little bit more comfortable. I practiced a little bit ahead of time because this is not something I ever do. With Kenzie, I sent videos back and forth to hear how we were going to do a duet and sing together. Then before we left, we spent a couple of hours in person. We were just going for it.”
Kenzie added, “I think doing this together brought Candace and me closer. We had pretty deep conversations in the trailer after we filmed. That was very special.”
She also talked about the cousins’ episode of WE ARE FAMILY on Instagram, writing, “this was one of the best experiences of my life! I felt so at home, and had so much fun! So thankful for my cousin @candacecbure for gifting me this opportunity.”
2024 is all about trying new things for Bure. Movieguide® previously reported:
FULL HOUSE star and influencer Candace Cameron Bure will be focusing on health during the next season of her podcast.
“As we jump into 2024 we’re talking all about health,” Bure began. “Now I know this can be a scary topic for some of you. It might even make you go ‘ugh,’ but I truly believe we all want to be healthy, but that means different things for different people. We’ve got different bodies, different minds, different hearts, different families. There is no one size fits-all when it comes to being healthy.”
Bure is focusing on health and fitness in her personal life, too. In a New Year’s post, she shared that she’s planning to incorporate more jogging into her fitness regimen.
“I just went on my first 30-minute run or jog, I should say. I haven’t jogged in a couple of years…I decided that I need to add cardio back into my routine, aside from my circuit cardio. Just something a little extra,” she shared. “So, I’ve committed myself to 2 days a week, getting between 20 and 30 minutes of jogging in, or some kind of cardio.”
