Carrie Underwood’s career is coming full circle as the singer-songwriter returns to AMERICAN IDOL, the show that launched her to stardom, as a judge.

Underwood will take Katy Perry’s place at the judges’ table this season, and she’ll also lead a webseries titled IDOL TO ICON which will start airing on YouTube on March 4.

According to Deadline, each episode of the series will explore a different part of the competition, corresponding to the airing of the current season while also exploring Underwood’s journal she kept in 2005 during her time as a contestant. The last episode will cover the singer’s “finale memories and ultimate IDOL winning moment.”

Underwood shared a teaser of one of her journal entries in a promo video posted to her Instagram.

“Let’s take a look at my journal from when I was on American Idol,” she began. She then read: “I just have to keep in mind that it will all be worth it and the life I have started will be great. Most importantly, I have to remember that this has all been my choice and it’s something I’ve wanted ever since I was a little girl. I know I have some great things ahead of me. Right now, I’m just trying to live in the moment and appreciate it all. I never dreamed that all of this would happen to me. I love it!’”

Underwood previously opened up about how God orchestrated her audition for the show 20 years ago.

“It would be easy to say the rest is history, that it was meant to be,” she wrote in an essay for Guideposts. “But it didn’t feel like that at the time. Going through a slew of auditions in St. Louis, getting the ‘golden ticket’ to Hollywood, every contestant’s dream, I was terrified. Every time I had to sing in front of the judges, I’d get nervous the way I did in church that first time. Then I’d say a prayer and leave it in God’s hands.”
