Grammy Award Winner: ‘When Jesus Shows Up, Everything Changes’

Seventeen-time Grammy award-winning artist CeCe Winans sings about God’s character, love and grace and knows just how much He can change a life.

“When Jesus shows up, everything changes,” Winans told TBN. “If you’re hopeless, He gives you hope. If you’re down, He lifts you up, and He gives you life. He is a life giver, and I got to know Him personally. And all I can say is that He has made all the difference in my life.”

“So, I always tell people, it’s not about religion, it’s about a relationship,” she continued. “When you ask Jesus into your heart and you allow Him to be the Lord of your life, then He’s going to change your life, and He’ll give you abundant life. And I love it, because His love never ends. It’s eternal life, you know.”

“I just I tell anybody — I tell everybody — I don’t care who you are, where you come from, if you say yes to Jesus, it will be the best decision you have ever made and the best one you will ever make for the rest of your life, I guarantee you that,” the artist concluded.

Winans’ newest album, More Than This, released in April 2024 and scored a Grammy.

More Than This is a continuation of the Holy Spirit saturating songs in such a way that when people hear them, great things are happening,” she said of the album. “The supernatural is taking place. People are being healed, set free, encouraged and saved. My prayer is that God will continue to do more and give us more of Him.”

Shortly after winning her Grammy earlier this year, she said, “…we were blessed to win two Grammys…so I have to start out by saying thank you to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for being my Lord and Savior…I’m so blessed by what God has already done, but I’m more excited about what He’s going to continue to do for His glory.”

Winans will begin her tour this week in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and end on Aug. 7 in Kansas City, Missouri.
