Celebrity Evangelist Dylan Novak Gifts Ozzy Osbourne a Bible

Celebrity evangelist Dylan Novak recently shared the gospel with “The Prince of Darkness” Ozzy Osbourne and his family, who all graciously received it.

“I was very thankful to have a moment to talk with Mr. Osbourne at his table. I introduced myself, and told him I had him a gift based on his spiritual beliefs, he said, ‘Let’s see it!’” Novak shared on Facebook.

Novak gave Ozzy a Bible inscribed with his name, along with some tracts, a personal letter from Novak and “Gasp!” by Tony Nolan.

“I pulled out a new believers Bible that is easy to read. As he was looking at it, he said, ‘Is that my name on the cover?’ I told him the reason I came to meet him was because I love and care about him and his soul,” Novak said.

The Osbournes all have different beliefs. Ozzy claims to be a Christian but doesn’t study the Bible. His wife Sharon is an omnist, and their son Jack does not conform to any religion. Their daughter Kelly’s current beliefs aren’t clear, but she did say in 2014 that she prayed for Joan Rivers and asked others to do the same after the actress went into cardiac arrest.

Jack is the host of PORTALS TO HELL, a show that explores locations known to have demonic activity. He told Vulture, “I’m not religious, no, I don’t necessarily subscribe to any kind of organized religion. I have a kind of deep spiritual belief and an understanding of a higher power, but I wouldn’t say I conform to religion. It’s not that I’m opposed to religion, I just never found one that made sense to me.”

Novak said, “I asked Jack about his show and why he chose a dark realm of spirituality. He told me, ‘It’s more the branding. I’m just very interested in looking into spirits and spirituality to see what’s there.’ This opened the door for us to have an in-depth conversation.”

Novak left their discussion encouraged; Jack gave him hope for future conversations.

“Before I walked away, he grabbed a paper and wrote down a list of different podcasts and theologians he had been listening to, so that if we saw each other again, we could discuss it. When I gave him his gift (‘Jesus>Religion’ by Jefferson Bethke, ‘The Case for Faith’ by Lee Strobel, tracts, and letter), he said, ‘It’s like you read my mind about what I’d be intrigued by. This is fantastic,’” Novak said.

When Novak ran into Jack a few weeks later, he shared how much the Bible meant to Ozzy. “Your gift meant more to dad than you know. He wouldn’t go to his hotel room without your gift,” he told Novak. “He specifically said, ‘Where’s my Bible? I’m not going up without it.’ We had to go back down to find it at his table, and he said, ‘I want the rest of it too. There was a letter too.'”

Sharon and Kelly were also appreciative of the Gospel materials Novak gifted them.

Continue to pray that the Osbourne family would each find personal relationships with Jesus.

Movieguide® recently reported on the Celebrity Evangelist’s conversation with actor Harrison Ford:

Ford [told the Hollywood Reporter], “There’s a Protestant theologian named Paul Tillich who wrote that if you have trouble with the word ‘God,’ take whatever is central and most meaningful to your life and call that God. My mother was Jewish, my father was Catholic…I didn’t have any religious construct, but I think nature and God are the same thing.”

The actor continued, “The mysterious origin of life—science tells us how it happened, and prophecy tells us another story. I found that everything in nature—the complexity, the biodiversity, the symbiotic relationships—is the same thing other people attribute to God.”

[Novak] shared that he was “able to have a quick conversation” with the INDIANA JONES star, who he called “incredibly kind” and “showed a lot of appreciation for his gift (Case for Christ by Lee Strobel, tracts, and letter).”
