Chad Michael Murray to Star in GAF’s CHRISTMAS ON WINDMILL WAY

Chad Michael Murray is slated to star in CHRISTMAS ON WINDMILL WAY, one of Great American Family’s 2023 Christmas movies.

“Telling stories and entertaining people is what I love to do,” Murray told PEOPLE. “This genre hits home for so many people during a weighted time of the year. Bringing light and love with the story we’re telling feels like icing on the cake. Or, let’s get corny here: it’s like adding snow on Christmas.”

Murray will star alongside WYNONNA EARP’s Christa Taylor Brown.

Brown echoed Murray’s enthusiasm about the upcoming movie, saying, “Making Christmas movies is like making magic. I am so thankful to have been a part of this one. Chad was a true gem to work with and we’re so excited to share our CHRISTMAS ON WINDMILL WAY magic with you all!”

Great American Family’s synopsis reads: “In CHRISTMAS ON WINDMILL WAY, Mia Miejer (Taylor Brown) excitedly anticipates the Christmas Market Fest Dutch Bake-Off competition and is filled with confidence her Mimi, Ann, will win the festival’s top prize with her award-winning Kerststol when she learns Mimi has difficult news to share. Ann had to sell land around the family-owned Jansen Inn, including easements all around the heritage Tall Wooden and Brick Dutch Windmill renowned for centuries for its fine millwork and beautiful wooden furniture. It’s an especially tough pill for Mia to swallow when she learns the land developer’s representative is her former boyfriend, Brady Schaltz (Michael Murray), who also must let Mia and Ann know the agreement includes the Inn and sawmill, all of which will be torn down.”

Murray has starred in Christmas movies before, and the actor called them “incredible for the world.”

“We all love the holiday season. We all love these films,” he explained. “I’m going to do them for as long as I can.”

CHRISTMAS ON WINDMILL WAY will premiere on Great American Christmas later this year.

Speaking to Page Six, Murray said, “We pray at every meal. That’s one of the foundations of teaching a good moral compass in our children. Having the fear of God is vital because, to be honest, what do you have to lose if you have no fear of that. If you have no fear of God it would be chaos here.

“We read the Bible, I start the day reading a chapter,” the LEFT BEHIND actor continued. “We teach the kids about Jesus and who Jesus was and the story and we do church on Sundays.”
