Chip and Joanna Gaines Launch Podcast Network: ‘Power of Storytelling’
By Movieguide® Contributor
Former HGTV stars Chip and Joanna Gaines have started a podcast network, Blind Nil Audio, through their production company Blind Nil Media.
The Roost Podcast Network will team up with Blind Nil Audio to give fans a chance to experience the Gaines’ content without a television.
“Chip and Joanna have a distinct vision for programming that will resonate with their community and welcome more listeners,” AJ Feliciano, head of The Roost Podcast Network, told The Hollywood Reporter. “As a Texan myself, I appreciate their dedication to building a storytelling platform that will support the thriving podcast industry in the state. I am excited to see what we can create together.”
The couple added, “We believe in the power of storytelling and are excited to explore new formats with this platform. The Roost has done incredible things in podcasts, and we’re thrilled to bring our teams together to see what new voices and stories there are to share with the world.”
“The partnership with The Roost Podcast Network is a strategic move for Blind Nil Audio. The network will handle ad sales and distribution, allowing Chip and Joanna to focus on creating engaging and high-quality content. This collaboration ensures that the podcasts reach a wide audience and have the support needed to thrive,” Global Village Space wrote.
The couple’s production company, Blind Nil, produces fan favorites like FIXER UPPER: WELCOME HOME, FIRST TIME FIXER, MAGNOLIA TABLE WITH JOANNA GAINES, HANDCRAFTED HOTELS and more.
“Blind Nil focuses on unique and inspiring storytelling with projects spanning broadcast, branded, commercials and podcasts,” the company’s website states.
“We seek to entertain through smart, layered storytelling that inspires creativity, upholds beauty and draws out curiosity,” Chip and Joanna added. “Here, we are creating a space where we hope viewers will feel their time with us is never without purpose, but rather is time well spent.”
The newest edition to the Magnolia network is FIXER UPPER: THE HOTEL.
“The new show finds Chip and Jo revamping Hotel 1928 in their hometown of Waco, Texas. They first announced the project back in 2019 and it’s finally ready to open for business. The series, which will follow the renovation process of the boutique property, will premiere on November 8 on Magnolia and Max,” Country Living reported.
Movieguide® reported on FIXER UPPER: THE HOTEL:
Since Chip and Joanna Gaines announced their historic hotel restoration, news on the project has been almost radio-silent. Last Sunday, Joanna Gaines gave her Instagram followers a huge peek into the renovations.
“Known as Hotel 1928, the renovated building has the style of an early 20th-century Moorish Revival lodge and includes 33 guest rooms, a dining room, event spaces, and a rooftop terrace in the approximately 50,000-square-foot space,” the Houston Chronicle reported.
“When you think about a 50,000-square-foot hotel remodel, I mean, this is the big leagues,” Chip said. “This is what you dream about.”
A long in the works, the HGTV stars first started their hotel project in 2019. At the time, they estimated the restoration would take two years.
Joanna’s post shows glossy walls, custom green leather seats, a huge unfinished library and a lobby floor with detailed mosaic tiles.
