Chris Pratt gushed over THE CHOSEN and his Hallow partnership in an Instagram livestream with Jonathan Roumie last month.

“THE CHOSEN’s is incredible. It’s so good. I think it’s amazing. And the production value is incredible,” Pratt told Roumie, who plays Jesus in THE CHOSEN. “It’s now sort of pop culture canon, right?”

It has “very good production value and high quality and great acting and great performances. … We really, really love it,” THE GARFIELD MOVIE star said.

Pratt and Roumie both partner with the Hallow app, leading users in prayer and spreading awareness about the platform.

“I can’t wait for you guys to see Season 5,” Roumie told Pratt. “It’s next level.”

Season 5 covers Holy Week. Roumie hinted that it features some new scenarios that THE CHOSEN cast hasn’t encountered before.

“So we’re really excited to take people on that ride,” Roumie shared.

The next season will depict Jesus’ crucifixion.

“I am looking forward to — not the process — but just the opportunity to try to experience a little bit of our Lord’s Passion in a very controlled way and to kind of bring that to the world in a way that maybe reinvigorates their relationship with the crucifixion,” the Teddy Bear Award® winner continued, “with Jesus, and maybe ignites their relationship with Jesus.”

While the actor admits he’s feeling the “pressure,” he’s trusting God’s guidance.

“If (THE CHOSEN) compels somebody to want to engage in the story, and engage in the person of Christ some way, then to me, this is probably the most important work I’ll ever do as an actor, the most lasting thing, the most impactful role that I will ever play,” he says.

He says that using the app has also deepened his faith as it helped him pray every day and dig “deeper” into God’s word, per Deseret.

Pratt also told Roumie why he partners with Hallow: “there are a lot of lives in need of saving.”

“I’m being called to be that city on the hill at this moment in my life,” he recently told The Christian Post.

Being part of Hallow helps him be that bright light — “that city.”

“I want God to use me and however he sees fit, to bring people to him, so that their lives can be beautiful, so that they (can) connect to their eternal spirit in heaven and get to have heaven right here on Earth, and spend the rest of their days being a light,” the actor said.

He hopes that the app points people to God and that they receive joy and love.

“I think God deserves everybody, no matter where you are, who you are…you’re deserving of God’s love. And I want to be part of that,” he shared.

Pratt’s and Roumie’s efforts are great examples of how faith and storytelling can inspire and uplift audiences, bringing more people to Christ.
