Christian Actor Calls for Unity After Election

Even before Donald Trump’s reelection win, actor Kevin Sorbo called for Christians to prioritize unification across the country, regardless of who is in office.
“Once we have who we have…people have to go, ‘OK, what do we need to do now to try to bring the country together in some way,’ because that’s the more important thing out there, more than anything, no matter who’s president,” Sorbo told CBN.
“I don’t care what your political party is,” he continued. “You see the destruction that Washington, D.C., has done around this country and around the world as well. We need to find a path to truth. We need to walk the road less traveled with Jesus and make that road a super highway, is what I say.”
Sorbo has long been an advocate for Christianity after finding peace in his own life through his walk with the Lord. Though his faith got him in trouble with Hollywood, Sorbo continues to encourage others to turn to God and place their foundation in Him.
“I tell people all the time that feel uncomfortable praying, ‘Look, guys, it’s easy. It’s like we’re doing right now,’” Sorbo said. “When I lived in LA all the time, with LA traffic, I got tired of listening to music or listening to audiobooks, and I would just have a conversation with God.”
“It’s very easy to have a conversation like that with God,” he continued. “I think people, they just get caught up in, ‘I’ve gotta say ‘thee’ and ‘thou’…and I’m going, ‘No, you don’t have to say ‘thee’ and ‘thou.’ You just have to have an open mind and an honesty about what you’re talking about, because He’s listening.’”
To give fans a good example of living out their faith, Sorbo remains committed to creating uplifting Christian content.
“Hollywood is winning the culture war right now,” Sorbo told Decision last year. “And we’ve got to do something about that by putting movies out there with a positive message about hope, and love, and faith and redemption, because Hollywood is not doing it.”

“I’m going to keep fighting the good fight and doing the movies that I’m going to do,’ Sorbo said. “I’m going to make movies that have love, hope, laughter, redemption, faith. I want movies that move people and make them think about things. I like wild movies too, but I like to do the movies that I want to do.”
