Christian Actor Sean Astin Gives Kelly Clarkson The Surprise of Her Dreams

Christian actor Sean Astin gave THE VOICE coach Kelly Clarkson the surprise of her dreams when he interrupted her interview with FROZEN actor Josh Gad.
Astin appeared in GOONIES, one of Clarkson’s favorite movies.
“I’m so hot and sweaty right now,” Clarkson said. “I can’t even believe I’m talking to you!”

Gad had a connection to Astin because Gad facilitated a virtual “Goonies” reunion in April for his YouTube show, “Reunited Apart.” Astin and eight other cast members were joined by director Richard Donner, writer Chris Columbus and producer Steven Spielberg to reminisce about the ’80s classic.
“That ‘Goonies’ reunion, Sean, I needed that like a fat kid needs cake. I watched every second twice,” Clarkson said.
After GOONIES, Astin went on to star in RUDY and THE LORD OF THE RINGS movies as well as faith-based flicks like MOM’S NIGHT OUT and WOODLAWN.
Most recently, Astin appeared in Netflix’s STRANGER THINGS and NO GOOD NICK alongside Melissa Joan Hart.
