Christian AMERICAN IDOL Alums Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner Welcome First Child

Christian AMERICAN IDOL alums Gabby Barrett and Cade Foehner are now parents after the birth of daughter Baylah May!
The couple, who met one another in 2018 during their separate runs on season 16 of AMERICAN IDOL, married in October 2019.
Barrett, an award-winning country artist, shared the news of Baylah’s arrival via her Instagram.
“Gotten to spend a very sweet week with our newest addition.. meet our girl…” Barrett shared.
Barrett, 20, and Foehner, 24, announced their pregnancy in August of last year and expressed their excitement about becoming parents.
“It’s funny, because I did not think that I was [pregnant],” Barett told People. “Around lunchtime, I remember taking the test and my eyes nearly crossed! I was like, ‘Wait, is that two lines?’ I came running out to Cade and was just like, ‘Oh my gosh, I think I am.’ That’s all that I said, and he knew what that meant. I started crying, and it was very sweet.”
The couple said that they prayerfully considered having children, and Barrett is candid about her faith in God. Barrett plans to take a bit of a break from her singing career to take care of Baylah.
