Christian Influencer’s New Year’s Resolutions Are So Relatable

Christian social media influencer Emily Vondy recently shared her New Year’s goals, and they are things every mom can relate to.

“It’s a new year and I wanted nothing more than to give you an encouraging, uplifting, you got this pep talk, but we’ve had influenza for the majority of the year so far and not really feeling it, so you’re getting the bare minimum,” she joked.

“Let’s keep things uncomplicated. This year imma stay hydrated, my emotions calm and regulated, show my body she’s appreciated. Mom guilt is not invited. It’s okay sometimes if we don’t got this. I’ll embrace God’s grace because there’s no limit, do you need to be reminded,” she sang.

Vondy then reminded followers of God’s mercy in this New Year: “There’s no limit to His grace or His mercies, they’re new every morning, thank goodness. Our goal this year is stability. Stability in our marriage, in our parenting, in our finances.”

The Bible verse she referenced is Lamentations 3:22-23, which says, “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”

In the caption of her post, Vondy said, “Our very simple yet not so simple New Year’s resolutions ? Listen, I absolutely believe that you got this! But if there are times you don’t? That’s okay. That’s normal! God’s grace is made perfect in our weakness. And THAT is a truth that has brought stability to my lifetime and time again❤️”

Followers responded to her post with humor and thanks. “I will be bopping to ‘mom guilt is not invited’ all day ?” one user said.

Another person chimed in, “I was struggling about having a ‘word of the year’ but stability just stuck when I heard you say that!”
