Actress Gave God Her Love Life, and He Answered Her Prayers

God writes the best love stories, at least singer and actress Christina Milian thinks so.

In an interview on THE JENNIFER HUDSON SHOW, Milian shared how through prayer, God brought her now husband Matt Pokora into her life.

In 2017, the actress put her love life in God’s hands.

“I was praying on it, let me tell you, when they say prayers are real, prayer is real,” she told Hudson. “I prayed, I made some sacrifices, I spoke to God, and I said, ‘Lord, I’m gonna just give all my time to my daughter, you be the man in our life. And…like when the time comes, I’m not forcing it, allow me the opportunity to see it.’”

While at a restaurant in France, a host at a restaurant introduced Milian and Pokora, a French pop star, and they hit it off. Later she decided to do some research on him and found an interesting coincidence.

“We had the same birthday. It was our birthday that really brought us together,” she smiled. “It was meant to be.”

The couple now shares two children: Isaiah, who was born in 2020, and April 2021. Milian is also mom to daughter Violet, born in 2010, whom she shares with ex-husband Terius Nash.

On Sept. 26, Milian took to Instagram to celebrate her and her husband’s special day.

Under a photo of the two at a restaurant, she wrote, “It all started with a picture but it was the discovery of OUR BIRTHDAY that sparked the fire in our twin flame and we never turned back. ? So I’m saying a big Happy Birthday to my best friend. You’re the best Partner, best Dad and friend a girl could ever have. I’m grateful I get to share this day with you. And though we are worlds apart I know the universe still holds us together on this great day. When I blow out the candles this year I hope you feel my kisses land on your gorgeous face! Happy Birthday baby— to you and to me!”
