Everybody’s Favorite Clean Comedian Lands Two Netflix Specials

Clean comedian Nate Bargatze has two new specials arriving on Netflix soon.
The first special, titled YOUR FRIEND, NATE BARGATZE, will premiere on Dec. 24. The second unnamed one will come out sometime in 2025.
Bargatze is “also hosting a primetime special for CBS, signed to Universal Music Group Nashville for their Capitol Comedy label and broke a number of arena records on his tour as well as signed a deal to write a book – Big Dumb Eyes: Stories From A Simpler Mind – coming out next May,” Deadline reported.
“I’m so excited to tell you that I’m writing my first book!” he wrote on Instagram. “Big Dumb Eyes will be an ‘easy read’ of a collection of personal stories, opinions and confessions that the whole family can enjoy.”
He previously hosted two specials on Netflix THE TENNESSEE KID and THE GREATEST AVERAGE AMERICAN. His Prime Video special, HELLO WORLD, premiered last year.
Fans flock to the Grammy nominee’s comedy thanks to his commitment to keeping it clean, as Movieguide® reported:
“I’ve done it since the beginning,” Bargatze said. “I just never wanted my parents to get mad at me. I always started clean [and] stayed clean.”
The stand-up comedian elaborated on that desire to keep his material family-friendly in an interview with Fox News.
“I just can’t imagine cursing in front of your parents,” he shared. “Still, even now, I’m 43-years-old and I still just couldn’t do that. So that’s how I write. I think I write my comedy to — a lot of it is to make my parents laugh. I want them to be proud and be like, ‘Oh, come watch my son do comedy,’ and not be offended by it. I just don’t have that in me to want to offend someone or make someone feel bad.”
Bargatze is currently gearing up for his Nashville Christmas special.
“A lot of you have been asking about the ‘Nashville Christmas’ Live Variety Show Taping happening at the Grand Ole Opry on November 21 and we finally have details!” he announced. “This is going to be amazing and I can’t wait for you to see what we have planned.
