COUNTY RESCUE Star Keller Fornes Dead at 32

Actor, writer and director Keller Fornes, known for his role in Great American Family’s COUNTY RESCUE, has died. He was 32 years old.
“Keller Scott Fornes, 32, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2024, in Eastland, Texas,” an obituary from Lacy Funeral Home reads. A cause of death was not shared.
Known for his starring role on COUNTY RESCUE, Fornes had also appeared in THE WALKING DEAD, GENIUS, FOUND and THE SECRETS SHE KEEPS.
When not spending time on set, Fornes enjoyed “painting, drawing, singing and playing the guitar as well as all types of physical challenges,” per his obituary.
Fornes is survived by his wife, Margie, his parents, Kimberly and Kobe Fornes, his two brothers and extended family members.
Great American Family posted a statement about Fornes’ passing on Facebook, writing, “We at Great American Media are deeply saddened by the passing of Keller Fornes. He was a special person and talent as an actor, writer, and director as well as a singer and musician. His energy and enthusiasm lifted all he worked with here at Great American Media and the cast and crew of COUNTY RESCUE. Our prayers are with his family and all those he touched.”
Deadline reported that COUNTY RESCUE was “scheduled to begin production this month on its second season.”
Friends and peers have been sharing their memories of Fornes, with co-star Kristin Wollett writing, “In our hearts. Always,” under a slideshow of pictures and videos of the actor.
Singer Colton Dixon commented on GAF’s post — “Was so saddened to hear about this. We only met briefly during my work on COUNTY RESCUE, but he was incredibly kind and purposeful with his words. Prayers for his friends and family.”
