By Movieguide® Contributor
Danica McKellar is “so happy” she finally got to meet Tara-Leigh Cobble in person.
“Every day for over a year now, I’ve listened to this incredible woman’s voice, guiding me through my Bible Journey,” the WONDER YEARS actress posted on Instagram. “Today, my sister Crystal & I got to have lunch with her!!”
McKellar thanked Cobble for her “Bible Recap” podcast and said she was “so glad” friend Candace Cameron Bure connected the pair.
“You’re everything I hoped you’d be and more,” she continued. “What a blessing to the world, drawing people closer to God, and I’m so happy to now also call you a friend!”
The actress then addressed anyone “looking to deepen (or start!) a journey through the Bible,” saying, “I can’t recommend @thebiblerecap highly enough as a beautiful & clarifying guide.”
McKellar has been very open about her 2023 commitment to read the entire Bible, sharing the steps of her journey on social media along the way.
“The most rewarding thing is just getting to know God better and understanding some of the patterns and going, ‘Oh, this theme of ego versus humility’ is really strong through the whole story. Maybe we should pay attention to that,’” she said of her reading project.
McKellar has frequently shouted out Cobble’s podcast for helping her achieve her goal.
Cobble’s “Bible Recap” podcast is extremely popular, with over 300 million downloads to date.
“It’s just this word of mouth, and obviously the Spirit of God is doing something in those communities that people are finding joy in the Word of God, and they can’t stop talking about it,” she said in an interview with CBN.

“The Bible Recap” just reached a remarkable milestone — it was ranked No. 1 in All Categories of Apple’s podcasts.
“5 years ago today when I launched TBR, my prayer was that 300 people would listen. I never dreamed we’d be the #1 podcast in All Categories,” the show’s creator, Tara-Leigh Cobble, wrote on Instagram.
She continued, “God has blown my little heart wide open with His *exceedingly more*. Almost all of you who will see this post are part of His sweet ‘YES!’ to my tiny prayer. So thank you for being here. And thank you to my incredible team. And thanks most of all to God, who keeps drawing people in to read, understand, and love His Word.”
