Alongside Great American Family’s list of movies and entertainment, is their Great American Community platform, which boasts videos from all your favorite talent from the network!

In one of her videos, actress Danica McKellar shared her thoughts on how faith helps us overcome fear, no matter how big or small.

“Hello great American community. I’m excited to share another little Faith Bits episode with you,” she told fans in the video. “Today I wanted to talk about worrying because I’ve always been somebody who worried my whole life starting as a child.”

“That’s been with me my whole life,” she continued. “Something that I actively work on is trusting and having faith that things are going to work out. But now my newfound faith, I have a more intentional way of fighting worry, which is having faith in God having faith in Jesus. Having faith that there is a divine plan, that I’m protected, and that I am loved.”

McKellar recently shared how she found a relationship with Jesus after her friend and Great American Family co-star, Candace Cameron Bure, gifted her a Bible.

“I found that holding on to my relationship with God and feeling the Holy Spirit guiding me and being there for me and wrapping me up in love is something that has been so so important,” she said.

McKellar said that she felt that what she valued changed after her relationship with Christ.

“Now it feels like a responsible thing to not worry,” she said. “I still catch myself worry, but now I think of it kind of as a sin because worry is the opposite of faith. Worry is the opposite of faith and trusting in God.”

“It’s a wonderful relief to know that by bringing myself away from worry, I’m being responsible,” she added. “I’m doing the right thing. I’m having faith in God. I’m reinforcing the relationship that I have with Jesus with God saying, ‘no I don’t want to worry.’ I’m tempted to worry. But I know that I’m doing the right thing by trusting.”

THE WONDER YEARS actress said that it is a daily struggle, but that she has already seen God’s faithfulness.

“Often when I have ideas, I’ll dictate them into my phone… I’m talking the message to myself, and instead of saying worrier, every time I said ‘I’ve always been a worrier,’ it said warrior,” she said. “I just love that. I thought that was God talking to me saying, ‘Look, you’re already transforming, don’t worry about it. You’re doing great. You’re a warrior.”

“We can ask Jesus, we can ask God, for help in not worrying because we know that the right thing to do is to have faith,” she added. “Even when it’s tough to have faith. In fact, that’s the time we get to exercise our faith the most is when it’s tough to have faith. Because if everything’s going great, then it’s easy… Ask for that strength and you shall receive. That’s how that works.

“I’m sending you all so much love, and when you worry, think about me telling you, don’t worry,” she concluded. “God doesn’t want you to worry. It’s in the Bible many times about the fact that we’re not supposed to worry. We need to have faith and trust that God loves us and is protecting us so much, love to all.”
