Danica McKellar Thanks Fans for Encouraging Her Newfound Faith

By Movieguide® Contributor

Danica McKellar took to Instagram to celebrate her birthday with a touching post about what she’s thankful for and how she’s maintained a positive outlook on life.

McKellar just turned 48 and posted a makeup-free selfie with some words of wisdom for her followers.

“Thank you so much for being on this journey with me, both with my movies on @gactv and with @mckellarmath, and of course also with my newfound faith, for which so many of you have been so encouraging!” the actress wrote.

Her caption continued, “If there’s any secret I’ve found to youth, it’s in the attitude… and a healthy, clean lifestyle, of course. Our minds and bodies are inextricably connected. I’ve found when I eat well and get enough rest and exercise, I have so much more access to that inner joy that makes life fun!

“When I discipline myself to see good (and laugh at the absurduties [sic]) in the world, resisting the seduction of outrage addiction, I find I’m more likely to stay in gratitude and make healthy choices…like going to bed early instead of staying up late to scroll through… all the things there are to be outraged over,” McKellar shared. “The other secret to life? Taking all that gratitude and giving back to the world in as many ways as I can. My grandmother always said, ‘The way to be happy is to make other people happy.’ Spread it around…”

McKellar has previously spoken about her faith and how fellow actress Candace Cameron Bure helped her on her journey. Movieguide® previously reported:

Danica McKellar recently sat down with pal Candace Cameron Bure to talk about the impact faith has had on her life this year.

The actresses talked about faith and how they celebrate Christmas in an episode of The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast, and McKellar took the time to thank Bure for giving her one of the greatest gifts of all.

“Candace, I don’t want to brush over the huge, huge impact that you’ve had on my life this year,” McKellar started. “I don’t even know how to call that, like, friendship. It’s more than that. Because of you helping me to find my relationship with God and Jesus, it’s been like a revolution in my life. It’s been a revelation in my life.”

She continued, “You gave me this Bible that I read all the time and I love it so much and I go to church now and I just, I talk to Jesus all the time every day. It’s unbelievable. And you were like my guide. You were just an angel in my life and you still are. And I just wanna thank you for that publicly.”

McKellar has documented her faith journey throughout this year, posting videos and photos on her Instagram.

In one post, the actress talked about her initial skepticism towards Christianity.

“It all started one evening when I was struggling with the idea of forgiveness and DM’d my good friend @candacecbure about a passage from the Bible she had read on her instastories, and then she sent me a Bible, and invited me to church,” she wrote.
