Did Justin Bieber Actually Have A Hand In This Viral Worship Song?

A new worship song from Justin Bieber is taking the internet by storm — but is it actually Bieber’s voice on the track?

“Holy Jesus,” a worship song with vocals from Bieber, recently popped up on YouTube and quickly racked up over 5 million views.

“Such a beautiful song,” one person tweeted. Another commented on the video, “God is using Justin in magnificent ways.”

However, “Holy Jesus” isn’t actually Bieber’s song. It was created by music producer Evan Mahim, who runs the YouTube account Evan Tunes.

“Just to clarify, the song ‘Holy Jesus’ by ‘Justin Bieber’ is an AI-generated creation,” Mahim wrote in a pinned comment on the video. “The purpose of this song is to inspire and bring people back to the light of faith and belief. It’s not an official release by Justin Bieber. We love Justin Bieber and always will.”

While “Holy Jesus” isn’t Bieber’s song, it’s not surprising people think the pop star was behind the track. He is very open about his faith, and released a Christian EP, Freedom, in 2021. Movieguide® previously reported:

As pop star Justin Bieber anticipates the release of his new album, “Justice,” the outspoken Christian wants to use his music to share his testimony and “inspire” his fans.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Bieber said that faith helped him come to peace with his controversial past as a young star.

“I just want to be somebody who can say, ‘Look, I did some things that I’m not too proud of, but I took a look in the mirror and decided to make some changes, and you can too,’” Beiber said.

Beiber is thankful for the many blessings God has given him and now recognizes as he lives his life for Christ. Bieber said that the best gift by far is “That I’m forgiven.”

“I just changed my priorities so that I didn’t [become] another statistic of young musicians that ended up, like, not making it,” Bieber said. “There was a time where I really did have my identity wrapped up in my career, but I really do have an overflow of feeling like my purpose is to use my music to inspire.”

These days, Bieber is more focused on his personal life than his musical career. He and wife Hailey Bieber recently welcomed their first child.
