Miami Dolphins’ Jalen Ramsey Praises God After First Game Since Injury

Miami Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey praised God after Sunday’s win over the New England Patriots.

Sunday’s victory marked Ramsey’s first game with the Dolphins due to a knee injury sustained over the summer. He underwent surgery for a full meniscus repair.

Immediately after Sunday’s game, he told Athletes Corner, “All God man. That’s really what it is. I’m just amazed by how much grace and mercy God gives me and how He just keeps blessing me.”

“I must have praying friends and praying family around me because, you know, sometimes, I feel like I’m undeserving of how much he blesses me,” Ramsey continued. “It’s just a lot of emotion for me, but it felt good to get the win and playing well with just the product of all the work not only me but everybody put in around me. This just isn’t a me thing. It’s truly everybody who’s been around me. I just [say] thank you to them and again just thank you to God.”

During his first game back, he secured an interception and almost scored a touchdown.

To top it all off, Ramsey said before the game that he was going to get an interception.

Tyreek Hill, Dolphins wide receiver, said, “It’s crazy. Dude really called his shot. ‘I’m gonna catch a pick in this game.’ It’s next level, bro. I’m just so glad that I’m not playing against the guy no more. The edge, everything he brings, the mentality, is just next level.”

Head coach Mike McDaniel shared his thoughts on Ramsey’s performance.

“Well, he totally disappointed me. He called that he was going to come back and have a pick six, not a pick field goal,” McDaniel joked. “He did phenomenal. You want to talk about something that goes above and beyond, like you can’t manufacture what he brought to our team in any other way. His play, but the commitment it took to play in that game, everybody witnessed firsthand.”

“You want to talk about not wanting to let someone down as a teammate, that was a special thing to be a part of, to watch his journey, unwavering conviction from I think it was July 27 or 28, the moment he got hurt with that mindset, telling his teammates, ‘hey, just hold it down, I’m going to come back, and I’m going to beat whatever timetable by a month,’” McDaniel said of Ramsey’s drive to get back in the game. “That’s immediately what his mindset was.”

Ramsey frequently shares his faith on social media. His Instagram bio reads, “Child of God through my faith in Christ.”

“Not even gon sit here & act like my emotions aren’t everywhere right now… my biggest thing in life tho, is my FAITH & I can promise that is one thing that’s UNWAVERING! I trust God no matter how down I’m feeling. His plan over mine always! I’ll be back better, I’m tellin you that now!” he said on Instagram shortly after his injury.
