DUCK DYNASTY Stars Prepare for Their First Child with Family in Mind

DUCK DYNASTY stars John Luke and Mary Kate Robertson are a month away from the birth of their first child and are gearing up for the new season of life with family and friends.

John Luke is the oldest son of Willie and Korie Robertson, who spearheaded the hit A&E series that ran from 2012-2018. John Luke and his wife married in 2015 and shared their ceremony on DUCK DYNSATY.

Since the show is no longer on air, John Luke and Mary Kate share life’s precious moments via social media and Mary Kate lifestyle blog “The Little Duck Wife.”

We’re over halfway now to meeting our boy! We had so much fun recreating this picture at the beach of John Luke’s parents when his mom was pregnant with him (make sure to swipe over)! After announcing their pregnancy in May, Mark Kate kept her blog readers updated about her second trimester in July:

“26 weeks carrying our baby boy! This second trimester has flownnnn by. It’s been really enjoyable honestly. I am just now to the point I’m feeling some aches and pains, but I really am not sure if that’s from the baby or if I pulled something from coughing so much with this little virus I am getting over haha. Either way, I am really loving all the kicks and movements…he moves so much so often!”

After a 4-D ultrasound, Mary Kate Shared her family’s comments on Instagram, “All our fam is saying they see both me and John Luke already in him haha.”

So excited to meet you little guy!!! Y’all, we went for a 4D ultrasound last week and it was one of the most fun things ever! JL, both our moms, and I just stared at the screen at that little babe with so much awe and wander. I’ll never forget how sweet it was getting a glimpse of him! swipe over if ya wanna get a peak. All our fam is saying they see both me and John Luke already in him haha #31weeks

The couple celebrated their son with a baby shower recently, to which Mary Kate couldn’t help but applaud the generations of mommies before her in her family.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been more appreciative of my own mom and John Luke’s mom than I am now. They’ve been helping and encouraging and loving us so well. And then, all our grandmothers, and the older women in my life, and wow I think I’ve gotten to watch some of the best mamas in the world!” Mary Kate said.

Saturday I was thrown such a sweet baby shower by family and friends in my hometown! John Luke and I have been so blessed by the people the Lord surrounded us with and I have just been in awe of it all weekend. It’s the best feeling seeing everyone excited for our first little baby! I grew up going to all the church baby showers since I was little so it’s so funny having one thrown for me. Also, I don’t think I’ve ever been more appreciative of my own mom and John Luke’s mom than I am now. They’ve been helping and encouraging and loving us so well. And then all our grandmothers, and the older women in my life, and wow I think I’ve gotten to watch some of the best mamas in the world!!
