Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson Baptizes Podcast Listener

In 2018, Phil Robertson and his sons Jase and Al launched a podcast called “Unashamed,” with the goal to spread the gospel.
In an interview with Christian headlines, the DUCK DYNASTY patriarch said: “We were told by God to go out and preach the Gospel. Jesus said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me – therefore, go and make disciples, baptizing them in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, teach them to obey everything and I’ll be with you.’ That’s what we do. So it didn’t shock us that it produced fruit. Jesus said it would. But we have to take the time and the effort to tell people the message. Love them, whether they hate us or not. We love them and we just carry on.”
Inspired by Robertson’s nephew Zach Dasher, the podcast focuses on the scriptures by working through them one verse at a time. “I am surprised at how many people have reached out and shared with us how they’ve come to know Jesus through this.” Dasher said. “It’s thousands.”
Some podcast listeners even travel to Robertson’s church in Louisiana for an in-person experience. He does a bible study with them and then they are baptized.
“A lot of these people from all over the United States, they drive down every Sunday morning. I’ve got a little class. All I do is preach the Gospel. I never dreamed that many people would come.”
He performs the baptisms inside the church.
“It’s a little better on them when I baptize them in the church because I live right on the riverbank, and they don’t have to worry about alligators and cottonmouths if they just get baptized uptown.”
Phil Robertson did not think the podcast would become popular, but this year it has been nominated for a K-Love Fan award, which will be broadcasted on TBN.
