DUCK DYNASTY’s Uncle Si Recovering from Hunting Trip Accident

DUCK DYNASTY star Uncle Si is recovering from a fall that occurred while out on a hunting trip.
“Typical Silas Robertson, he’s in a dang hurry to get out of the boat and into the Polaris, he fell. He fell trying,” the “Duck Call Room” podcast co-host Justin Martin explained.
“He went to take a long step instead of waiting on us to move the decoys and the shotguns impatient, a ‘bdh’ a ‘big dang hurry,’ and he fell. I think he didn’t want anybody to see that he fell,” he continued. “The problem is you’re covered in mud now, like we know you fell.”
When asked if he was okay, Si brushed it off as no big deal. “Yeah, I’m fine, yep, no problem,” he said.
“We get back to the clubhouse, and breakfast is done, and we’re looking up, and there’s no Si. He’s just sitting outside in the cold. So, I immediately thought he had a concussion because he’s so out of character…He was real quiet, another red flag,” Martin added.
“We get back home and then yesterday and get the text, ‘He’s headed to the ER’…as I read the text I said, ‘that old sucker done one of them ribs is broke buddy.’”

When the group arrived at the hospital, Si said, “Man, I’m in a lot of pain. I fell duck hunting, and I think I broke some ribs.”
After Si received some medical attention and pain medicine, he began to feel much better. Co-host Phillip McMillan recalled their time at the hospital. “He was so happy, he was so excited we said a big prayer,” he said.
“We’ve got no broken ribs… and we’re expecting a full recovery,” McMillan shared.
This wasn’t Si’s first emergency. In 2022, he underwent lung surgery after developing difficulty breathing due to “smoking, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and COVID-19 complications,” per PEOPLE. “He shared an update on Instagram after the procedure. ‘The doc says surgery went great,’ he wrote. ‘I’m ready to get back at it, Jack!’”
Hopefully, Si recovers quickly as DUCK DYNASTY’s reboot is just around the corner.
“Is Uncle Si gonna be on the show?” Korie Robertson asked on daughter Sadie Robertson Huff’s podcast, before answering, “Yes. You will see Uncle Si on the show. So much has changed. We’ve got a lot to catch people up on.”
