Elevation Worship’s Tiffany Hudson Releases Solo Album: ‘So Grateful’
By Movieguide® Contributor
Elevation Worship’s Tiffany Hudson has just released her debut solo album, Hidden Here, and shared her thoughts on the process.
“I feel so grateful,” Hudson said of the project’s release. “I mean, all of the emotions kind of all at once, but the main emotion I feel is just gratitude that the songs are here.”
The singer shared that she “never had a desire” to pursue a solo career, ”But I felt like the Lord had invited me into this process.”
Hudson started writing songs in 2022 during something she called “a season of what felt like a creative drought,” adding that the process “began a journey of sitting with Him, writing, co-writing and desiring to write on the things He had placed in my heart.”
She soon noticed that her music didn’t exactly fit with the music she created with Elevation.
“It felt more like a personal, devotional type of song that I would want to say to the Lord,” she explained.
With the encouragement of Elevation’s members, Hudson decided to pursue a solo project.
Her album is already resonating with listeners, and they have shared the impact Hudson’s music has had on them with the singer.
“The things that I hear from people that mean the most are, ‘I felt the presence of God for the first time, and I was just in my car,’” she shared. “And that is like all you could ever ask for, so when people say they experience God’s presence, it’s all I could ever ask for.”
She elaborated on what she wants listeners to take away from her album in an Instagram post, writing, “This project is more to me than lyrics & melodies, they are a collection of memories and moments with the Lord that I pray is an offering, first & foremost, to Him. I also pray that you could discover the Lord Jesus in a way that won’t allow you to stay the same. That the Lord would draw you into a deeper level of consecration to himself.”
