Elmo Goes Viral for Asking This Simple Question

Last week, SESAME STREET star Elmo took to X to see how everyone was doing.
On January 29, he tweeted, “Elmo is just checking in! How is everybody doing?”

People responded by pouring out their struggles to the muppet.
“I’m at my lowest. Thanks for asking,” one user responded.
Another said, “Every morning, I cannot wait to go back to sleep. Every Monday, I cannot wait for Friday to come. Every single day and every single week for life.”
Another user tweeted, “Not good, Elmo. Not good.”
Not all responses were entirely negative, though.
“Elmo thank you for checking in on your friends,” an X user replied. “The world is a bit tough at the moment. Lack of services people need. The economy isnt great for everyone. Multiple wars. But you have brought us much childhood joy we needed. Thank you. May we all become a little bit more like you.”
Even celebrities seized their moment to promote products or offer advice.
Dr. Phil responded with the title of his new book, “‘We’ve Got Issues.'”
After the deluge of responses, Elmo replied, “Wow! Elmo is glad he asked! Elmo learned that it is important to ask a friend how they are doing. Elmo will check in again soon, friends! Elmo loves you.”

Fox News Digital reported, “Sesame Street joined in to remind everyone of the importance of tuning into their emotions — and promoting the importance of mental health by linking to its mental health program.”
“Thank you, @Elmo, for checking in with a reminder for us to pause and take a mindful moment to focus on how we’re feeling,” Sesame Street tweeted.
Elmo celebrated his birthday on Feb. 3 and informed everyone how he was doing.
“A lot of friends have been asking, and yes, Elmo is doing great. Today is Elmo’s birthday! Yeah, baby! Thank you for checking in. Now let’s have a party,” he wrote.

Kid favorite TV shows, SESAME STREET and BLIPPI, just joined forces to celebrate Elmo’s birthday in a special episode called “Blippi and Meeka’s Birthday Surprise for Elmo.”
The video, which premiered on Saturday, is the first of several collaborations.
Variety reported, “That’s the first of three videos that have been produced for social and online, with the possibility of more along the way. Elmo, Big Bird, Abby, Blippi, Meekah, Herb the Dinosaur and more will be seen in the collection of episodes and music videos when they premiere simultaneously on the BLIPPI and SESAME STREET YouTube channels. Further videos will launch in June and September.”
In future crossovers, “Blippi and Elmo will visit Diggerland where they explore construction vehicles and equipment, and practice the alphabet. Then, Blippi and Elmo will also have some fun learning about dinosaurs with paleontologist Meekah, dinosaur expert Big Bird, and tour guide, Stanley-Saurus,” Parents reported.
