Erin Napier Reveals Greatest Fear in New HOME TOWN Episode
By Movieguide® Contributor
Despite seven seasons on the air, fans are still finding out new things about HGTV star Erin Napier, including her biggest fear.
“ [I’m] horrified by lizards,” Erin said in a recent episode of HOME TOWN. “I know it doesn’t make sense. I hate them. To me, lizards and snakes are the exact same thing. Frogs too. I don’t like those.”
Ben added, “She thinks of frogs and lizards as snakes with legs.”
“This is my irrational fear: that I get scared of a lizard, and someone thinks, ‘Well, this is funny,’ and they get the lizard and try to put it on me, and then I would die,” Erin continued.
In another sneak peek at an upcoming Season 7 episode, viewers got the chance to see Erin and Ben try their hand at pickleball.
“We’re the least competitive people in the world, so this will be super-easy,” Erin joked.
She and Ben face off with a new client, Mike, who is looking to settle in Laurel. It looks like the couple created a new friend, too, as Ben and Mike agree to a pickleball rematch.
Erin recently spoke to USA Today about the new episodes, telling the outlet, “These are some of our best episodes ever.”
She and Ben also shared their tips for anyone looking to try their hand at home renovation.
“Make it personal, and always hire the electrician and the plumber. Don’t burn or flood your house,” Erin instructed, while Ben added, “Figure out ways that you can do it yourself, and then when you hit a roadblock, bring in a professional.”
Movieguide® previously reported on the couple’s favorite episode of the new season:
“But our favorite episode is…our origin story, our love story, where we met,” Erin continued. “And that’s super-special, and there’s a surprise at the end of the episode that’s overwhelming. We’re not having a baby. That is not the surprise.”
The pair visits Jones College every year on the anniversary week of when they met. They do all the same things they did that first week. They eat lunch at the cafeteria, have cheese sticks from Sonic and ride in an old car to check out Christmas lights at the park.
The couple’s love story and college renovation episode will air on HGTV on Jan. 21.
