Everything We Know About A QUIET PLACE: DAY ONE

A QUIET PLACE: DAY ONE is one of 2024’s most anticipated movies—here’s everything we know so far.
The movie is the latest installment of the hugely popular thriller franchise, which includes A QUIET PLACE and A QUIET PLACE PART II.
A QUIET PLACE was named one of the Best Movies for Mature Audiences in 2018 by Movieguide®, while A QUIET PLACE PART II received a nomination for Best Movies for Mature Audiences.
DAY ONE will star Lupita Nyong’o, Alex Wolff and Joseph Quinn and is expected to make its theatrical debut June 28, 2024. There’s no word yet on whether or not it will also be added to a streaming service.
Per MSN, DAY ONE “positions the movie three years after A QUIET PLACE PART II and six years since the inception of the franchise.”
Not much is known about DAY ONE’s plot, but John Krasinski, who directed and starred in the first two movies, shared some details while at CinemaCon.
“One of my great joys has been in creating and expanding the QUIET PLACE universe,” he said.
Krasinski added that the movie will not follow the Abbott family of the first two movies. Instead, it will tell Nyong’o’s character’s story as she navigates New York City following the alien invasion.
DAY ONE won’t be the last we’ll see of the QUIET PLACE universe, either.
“In addition to the upcoming prequel/spin-off, Krasinski is developing a third main-series film in the A QUIET PLACE saga,” ComingSoon reported. “A video game based on (and sharing continuity with) the film series is also in the works.”

After the significant theatrical success of A QUIET PLACE and A QUIET PLACE PART II, directed by acting duo John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, Paramount announced new details about the upcoming spinoff movie.
A QUIET PLACE: DAY ONE will star Marvel Cinematic Universe actress Lupita Nyong’o, who appeared in the BLACK PANTHER movies.
Early reports about the film list that while the movie will take place in the same universe as the first two movies, it will not feature Krasinski or Blunt and is classified as a spinoff.
A QUIET PLACE and its sequel championed family and patriotism, which helped them become box office hits.
