Everything We Know About SEAL TEAM’s Upcoming Final Season

By Movieguide® Contributor

Anxiously awaiting news of the seventh and final season of SEAL TEAM? Here’s everything we know so far.

Paramount+ announced the show would be returning for another season in January 2023. In November of the same year, the streamer revealed it would also be SEAL TEAM’s final season.

“It has been a privilege to tell stories over seven seasons that honor the bravery and heroism of all who serve our country,” executive producers Spencer Hudnut and Christopher Chulack said in a joint statement. “We are deeply grateful to our amazing group of actors, writers, directors and talented crew, especially the hundreds of veterans who have worked on this show.”

Star David Boreanaz also released a statement, telling fans, “For six seasons I have been fortunate and blessed to be a part of an outstanding cast and crew. Every day spent was a note of thanks to our men and women in the military and Special OPS. I thank our fans, and I’m proud we were able to make this show to shine light in the darkness toward so many suffering today. I look forward to season seven and the opportunity to end this series with love and gratitude.”

Plots for the seventh season are unknown, but many fans assume new episodes will explore the fallout from Season 6’s finale.

Per TV Line, “Upon returning home from deployment—having missed Clay’s (Max Thieriot, now on Fire Country) funeral, Jason (David Boreanaz) was given and accepted the Navy Cross—and used the opportunity to speak publicly about his TBI and his fallen friend’s work to change the military’s views on them. Then, when he had to face command for his actions at the end of the finale, he was joined by Ray (Neil Brown Jr.), the rest of Bravo, and other SEALs who spoke up about their own struggles.”

Stars Boreanaz, Brown, AJ Buckley, Toni Trucks and Raffi Barsoumian are all set to return. Some new faces will be joining the cast as well, with Dylan Walsh playing Captain Walch and Beau Knapp playing Chief Petty Officer Drew Franklin.

Movieguide® previously reported on Knapp joining the cast:

Actor Beau Knapp is taking part in SEAL TEAM as Officer Drew Franklin, a regular character in the seventh and final season of the show.

For six seasons, SEAL TEAM has run through the lives of elite Navy SEALS as they serve their country and carry out risky missions.

Now, “Knapp will play Drew Franklin, a Chief Petty Officer with a checkered history at Command whose placement on Bravo Team is a sign of their problem-child status in the eyes of the DEVGRU powers that be. A smooth talker who exploits every angle to his own advantage, Drew revels in the mystery and rumors that surround him,” Deadline reported.

SEVEN SECONDS, THE LOST SYMBOL, GOOD LORD BIRD and BLACK AND BLUE are some of the actor’s notable performances.

It’s still unknown when SEAL TEAM’s final season will premiere, but many expect a fall 2024 release date.
