Everything You Didn’t Know About This GAF Star
By Movieguide® Contributor
You might recognize Kristen Wollett from COUNTY RESCUE, but you may not know these interesting facts about the Great American Family star.
Wollet also stars in GAF’s CHRISTMAS WREATHS AND RIBBONS, which came out last November. In it, she takes the lead as Rebecca, a wreathmaker who slips and breaks her arm. Luckily, her neighbor steps in to help her out — not just with her store but with her heart.
Rom-coms are Wollett’s thing, and she recently released a book in that genre called As a Last Resort. She’s currently writing one called The Reel Thing, which will be released this fall.
Wollett is a mom of five kids, all under the age of 10, and has been married for 13 years. She says she gets to do the things she loves because of her husband’s support.
“People ask me all the time…how in the world do you have five kids and still pursue your dreams?” she wrote on a recent social media post. “And there’s a very simple answer. His name is Justin… the man who stands beside me, who loves me unconditionally, who encourages me to have faith when I don’t, and who makes reeeeeeally cute babies.”
Along with acting, she’s also a professional dancer and drag racer. She even had a stint as a driver in a Ford commercial.

This year, Wollet attended the Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards Gala.
“I really loved UNSUNG HERO,” she shared on the red carpet about her favorite movie of the year. “I think everything about what it stands for and just the journey of the family…That was just one that really touched my heart a lot this year. I really loved that.”
She loves seeing how faith-based movies make an impact on viewers.
“I love when [movies] marry like the family friendliness but with like a really good message that’s grounded in faith, you know? I think especially in Hollywood, like if we had eyes like Jesus did and if people really saw people like Jesus did, I mean it would change everything, right?”
“It would absolutely change the world,” she continued, “and so when we start to see that in movies and we start to see that reflected in movies in the character arcs and story arcs, it just makes such a difference for entertainment. And so that’s why I love the Movieguide® Awards so much, ‘cause this is exactly what we’re doing here.”
