Ex-Porn Star Is Rebuilding Her Life After Leaving The Industry: ‘[God] Freed Me From Adult Films’

An ex-porn star is seeking help from fellow Christians after leaving the adult film industry and attempting to rebuild her life.
In a GoFundMe page, the actress, Melinda, wrote, “[Four] years ago, I left the adult film industry when I had hit rock bottom, and Jesus came in and transformed my life around. During the time I had left, I ran into some financial struggles, and I had acquired $17,000 in credit card debt.”
While she knows it would be easier to simply go back to her former line of work, Melinda is determined to stand strong.
“I know that this is not God’s plan for me,” Melinda said. “I refuse to go back into adult films as an easy way to make money.”
She continued, “I will never sell my body for money again. I know that God has a plan and a purpose, even through difficult circumstances. He freed me from adult films when I saw no way out. He opened doors for me I never could have imagined.”

Broome opened up this week on his “Counterfeit Culture Podcast” about his relationship with his wife, Hope, who appeared alongside him to talk about their love story.
He discussed how the two met and how Hope, a lifelong Christian, showed him grace and understanding as she learned details about his complicated past.
“[Hope] met me where I was. She extended grace and God started radically moving in my life,” Josh said. “It’s because I gave my life to Jesus so early on in our relationship, and we started growing together.”
