Faith-Based Movie I CAN ONLY IMAGINE Lands Top Five Spot for People’s Choice Award

The Erwin Brothers’ hit faith-based movie I CAN ONLY IMAGINE has enjoyed a roaring success since its release in theaters in March and it’s not over yet. This year’s People Choice Award show nominated the movie for “Family Movie of 2018” and made the cut as a top five finalist!
The movie’s Facebook page detailed their excitement for the initial nomination.
The top five nominees were announced on Monday. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE beat out movies like PETER RABBIT and SHOW DOGS for one of the spots. The movie’s fellow nominees in the category for “Family Movie of 2018” are: INCREDIBLES 2, A WRINKLE IN TIME, HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3, AND CHRISTOPHER ROBIN.
One of the good things about an award show like this is that the people get to voice their favorites, rather than industry personnel. A faith-based movie getting a top spot on a secular award show is a big win for the Christian community and shows God’s favor on the project. The People’s Choice Awards will air on E!, on November 11th where the winner will be unveiled to a live audience and broadcast in the U.S.
