Movieguide® gave BLUEY’s first season a content rating of 3+. The review reads:
Season One is a wonderfully animated children show with a high production value. BLUEY is entertaining not just for children, but also adults. The comedy is witty enough to get a good chuckle out of parents. Even better, the program has strong family morals and lessons that both children and adults can learn. It has a positive depiction of Bluey’s relationship with her sister, mother and father. There are also common themes of sharing, learning and growing up. There is no foul language or other objectionable content. MOVIEGUIDE® finds BLUEY: Season One suitable for all ages.
